RPAS Recency Requirements
RPAS Licensing Requirements
For anyone who is unaware, Transport Canada has pulled MAAC’s exemption to operate outside of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) rules. MAAC is continuing to work with Transport, but effectively immediately, everyone is required to have their RPAS Certificate and register their aircraft before flying at the field. The ceiling is also reduced to 400ft AGL. Attached is the original notification from MAAC for your reference.
The cost of the test is 10 dollars, and consists of 35 multiple choice questions, with a time limit of 90 minutes. Below is a link for the test as well as a video with tips on how to pass. With a bit of help from Google, you should be able to complete the test in about half an hour. The passing threshold is 65%.
