Some brief updates on the field:
Clubhouse
Al has let us know that he’s moving ahead with tearing down the shed containing our clubhouse. Due to this, all personal affects must be removed by Sunday August 16th. Anything left after the 16th may be thrown out or otherwise destroyed. Al is planning on constructing a new larger building roughly on the same foundation. We can expect debris from the shed along the length of the runway once it’s been knocked down.
Generator
The club generator is suffering from unnecessary wear due to incorrect handling. We are asking that anyone wishing to use the generator talks with Alex to get checked out on what needs to be done. Also, please bring your own gas for the generator, and do not use the gas in the shed for the lawnmower.
Laneway
As you may have noticed, the lane is getting bumpy again. In part this is caused by our traffic, and is accelerated when folks are driving quickly. If everyone could please keep their speed down (10kph) when coming and going to help limit our impact, it would be appreciated.
